Experience Workshop continues to facilitate the connection between Hua Yuan Primary School in Beijing and Jyskä Primary School in Jyväskylä. This sister school partnership began with a successful visit in 2024 and the schools are now looking forward to the second visit in 2026.
Building on this foundation, the schools have presented their different project-based learning practices in a webinar, where dr Kristof Fenyvesi served as methodological advisor.
The online agenda had a series of presentations designed to share educational practices. Deputy principal Xu Ying opened with an introduction to the Hua Yuan School. Tiina Malste, class teacher of Jyskä school, presented an overview of the school’s project-based learning approach. The webinar included specific classroom applications, such as a Chinese case study demonstrating an interdisciplinary project.
The meeting concluded on a forward-looking note, with Tiina Malste warmly inviting the Hua Yuan school to visit Finland once again.
